... just a quick update.

 

Soooo, Linda is continuing to try to help us. She was in the middle of writing a very long email that was giving valid reasons why this will be a burden on all the offices on campus, aside from being a burden for the students. She told me it would probably be a good idea for Crystal, Calena and I to  write our appeal letters, so they have reasons on paper rather than just by word. Understandable. So, I wrote my letter and Crystal and Calena are in the other room writing theirs now.

 

Besides that, the day hasn't been very interesting. It's real cold out and I love it <3 I was sooo over the 80 degree weather. I love hoodies, sweatpants and slippers. They make my life complete. Now I just need someone to cuddle up against.

 

Lots of studying to do tonight. I have a midterm tomorrow and 2 on Friday. Then it's fall break and I don't have to come back to this hell hole until Tuesday night! =]

 

I'll probably write more later because I can never go to bed at a decent time!

wow i hate this school. let me start off by saying that any Carlow billboard you pass, it says At Carlow: I Matter. Well today, this was proved to me to be the biggest line of bullshit ever.

 

SOOOOO apparently I signed a contract in APRIL that was in effect until this May stating that I would be living in the dorms until May. Ummm correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure a lot can happen between April and August to cause someone not to be able to move in the dorms. Ok, so I have a LOT of very good reasons that I cannot and WILL NOT stay in these dorms past December.

 

So Crystal, Calena and I all met with Carol Gruber today, the dean of student affairs. She is the biggest BITCH in the world. I wanted to punch her in ugly fucking face. Especially if she responsded to my complaints one more time by sayingI needed to see a counselor. Ummm I don't need a fucking counselor you whore I JUST WANT OUT OF HERE.

 

So then I proceed to tell her that I am more than willing to transfer schools. Ummm not something that should be encouraged by the DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS, right??? WRONG. She told me to do what "I feel is necessary". Well what I feel is necessary is knocking your ugly ass out of the fifth floor window you dumb cunt. So I said wow, you would rather lose $15,000 rather than just $4,000 for me moving out? She basically said yes and that she didn't care about the other money, mainly because tuition/credit money has nothign to do with her department, just the dorm money. --- Not to mention that Crystal and Calena are with me on this, so not only my $15,000, but their's as well. Now we're up to $45grand. YOUSUCKATLIFECAROLGRUBER

 

So then i was like ummm ok, I'll pay the money but not live here. She basically said that's fine if thats what i choose to do, but be aware that someone else can fill my occupancy. I was like umm bullshit, I'm paying for that room, IT'S MINE. Haha when I told my mom this she told me to leave a pair of dirty underwear or soemthing on the bed so that something of mine was still in here. My mother kills me. Of all things, a pair of dirty underwear. Haha.

 

So needless to say, there was tons more that occured at this meeting that I dont feel like typing. It basically came down to us having to write an appeal letter, because I have time to do that during midterms week and all, and she said she'll take it to a committee and talk about it. I was like ummm by the attitude you have right now, these letters wont even be taken into consideration.

So then I went to Linda, the head of student accounts. She told me that she DEFINITELY does NOT want any of us leaving and COULD NOT believe that Carol said that to us. She was disgusted. She said she is going to take matters into her hands and see what she can do for us. She totally disagrees with this contract and feels that it should be the students choice--- IT SHOULD!! Up until this year, it always has been. This is the first time for this piece of shit contract to ever be effective and is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Had I of read the small print, I would have obviously disagreed with it anyhow. But ummmm without signing it, I couldn't have moved in.

 

 

Well this is where I stand right now with a $30,000/yr school. The one that has had my heart since freshman year of highschool. I've never wanted away from it so bad. There are ways out of this contract: Withdraw completely. And hahaha reapply the next day!! Pretty sad the head of one our departments told me to do that. Only take 11 credits because to be considered a full time student, you must take 12 and without having a full load, you cant live in the dorms. Ummm and worse comes to worse, peace out Carlow.

 

 

Sooooooo needless to say, YOU DO NOT MATTER AT CARLOW. YOUR MONEY DOES!!
